Our Easter weekend in D.C.

I am finally getting around to posting our Easter weekend photos from our visit to Washington D.C. We took a ton of them...so what I have to show you today is only a small fraction (and still there is a lot). Anyway we had a great time with Papa and Grandma C. and all of the Leonard family!

Saturday afternoon, the day before Easter Sunday!

Waiting for Papa and Grandma C. to arrive (and entertaining ourselves). Francesca is doing the balancing act!

Now Francesca is done with playing catch and onto collecting sticks (which she did a lot over the weekend).

By the end of the day, we were all tuckered out and headed back to the condo from some quiet time before bed! As you can see, we had an amazing weekend...and we are off to D.C. again this coming week for a wedding...it is a long drive with just Francesca and me, but she is so good in the car that the 6.5 hours it takes us to get there (with all the stops along the way...) is something I actually look forward to. To me, it is some great one on one time with my little girl...which I love!

Now here are two photos that Francesca and I had taken for our local newpaper's special addition on Mother's Day. I am still not sure which one will appear in the newspaper, but they both turned out really well.....

Still Counting....

11 MONTHS LID!

I can't believe it is almost a year that we are LID...one whole year! My dear Sofia, we talk about you so often, think about you always... and you have been in our hearts for as long as I can remember...

Sick Day.

Photobucket

It was bound to happen...Francesca was sick on Monday with a 103 fever. Luckily, by Tuesday, her temp was back to normal, but we still stayed inside and in our jammies all day long.

"Mommy, I don't feel good."

Photobucket

(my poor baby...ugh)

*For all our family and friends who are expecting us this weekend in D.C....we are still coming!*

The Easter Bunny came a little early to the Leonard Household!

Since we are going to D.C. next weekend, the Easter Bunny came a little early to visit Francesca. When she woke up from her nap today, she found bunny tracks coming in from or back door leading all the way to what the Easter Bunny left for her...She was so excited and just loved the tracks the bunny left!

Here is where the tracks started...

Photobucket

(I didn't get her actually following the tracks to her Easter gifts, but she was still so excited that she couldn't stop following them all around the house...here are a few photos of her having some fun with the bunny tracks...)
